Kapuso stars show a different side with their Halloween costumes

By MARAH RUIZ

As actors, these Kapuso stars always get to experience living in someone else's shoes. But this Halloween, it's time to take it to another level by transforming into a completely different character.

On Halloween, there are always those who want to show their dark side, like Gabbi Garcia, "I wanna be a little out of the box. Ayoko na ganito yung itsura ko. I'm really a fan of The Walking Dead, so I wanna be a zombie," she says.

Ashley Ortega, on the other hand shares "I'll be Esther, yung sa Orphan."

Meanwhile, what Chynna Ortaleza has in mind is not exactly a costume as she considers it part of herself. "I actually don't have a Halloween party to go to. But, just in case somebody invites, bahala na. I'll think of something that's easy to put on. Baka ako na lang, since anyway I'm creepy! Baka biglang gamitin ko na lang yung alterego ko na little dark child para maloka kayong lahat."

Camille Prats' number one priority on Halloween is for her son to have fun, but if she has to dress up, she says she'll go goth. "I actually don't have anything to wear that day! I'll just go all black—black nails and black lipstick. Goth lang 'yung peg ko."

Stephanie Sol want to explore the tough side that she doesn't normally get to show. "Gusto ko, pero hindi ko pa nagagawa, si Katniss Everdeen. Simple lang, easy lang. Gusto ko 'yung medyo action star feel, kasi usually I dress girly. Iyon, may mixture ng girly pa din, but may toughness."

Enzo Pineda, likewise, wants to be a hero. "If I'm prepared, I would have an Iron Man suit. I was supposed to do it last year but, I didn't have time. So I had to settle for Megaman na outfit. It took them one month to do it, eh yung Iron Man outfit, dalawang buwan. Sabi ko, wala na kong oras, hindi na ko aabot so next time na lang," he says.

Then there are those whose costumes are a reflection of their inner selves.

Rafael Rosell has gone with a complete lifestyle change and he wants his costume to reflect that. "Last year kasi nag-hippie ako eh. I think, I like something that's close to earth—something that contributes to nature or something that represents a lifestyle that's close to nature. Siguro if ever, this year, Tarzan. Either Tarzan or a native (American) Indian."

Julie Anne San Jose shows that she is not afraid to make fun of herself with her costume plan. "A potato. Before kasi, gusto ko witch. Kaso, masyado nang gamit yung witch, diba? Pero kasi palagi kong sinasabi, 'I'm a potato, I'm a potato!' So, I'm gonna dress up as a potato! Sobrang random!"
