Can You Move with Billy Crawford?

In a Philippine television first, GMA-7 will be holding a reality show where an international pop star searches for six of the best Filipino dancers to back him up in his concert here in the country. From hundreds who auditioned, only 24 will make the cut and be part of this ground-breaking reality program that’s going to set your Sundays on fire. Move with Billy Crawford as he searches for the six that will complete his concert act. At Music Museum, Billy and his team unveiled their plans for the show. After an opening spiel from the producer of the newest reality phenomenon, Billy Crawford introduces himself to the crowd with an amazing display of dance moves while singing one of his hit songs live. Move is really set to take Philippine TV by storm. “I gave him (the producer) the concept,” Billy starts, answering a question of where the idea of the show comes from. Billy explains that is supposed to be resting before starting work on his new album, but he decided to head to the Philippines instead. “It’s good, but I’d rather come back and work.” “My endurance is pretty strong when it comes to performing,” He shares, after someone expressed concern with his workaholic attitude. “My stamina’s pretty good, I hope.” Going back to Move, Billy explains that the competition is just to find six outstanding dancers who will back him up in his first major concert in the country. He doesn’t know if there are other prizes for the dancers to win, “For now, it’s just the performance in August.” As to what they’re looking for in a dancer? “Pinaka importante is passion,” Billy says, but they are also looking for talent and the human being in the contestant. He reiterates that the finalists must be willing to do what they can a hundred and ten percent. “I want this show to be perfect.” Billy will be performing with the finalists, but he adds that he will not be giving out pointers. “Mas maganda kung nalalaman nila ‘yung mistakes (nila).” Helping Billy choose the six winners are Miggy Tanchangco and his own choreographer, Maryss from Paris. Billy boasts of Maryss’s achievements, choreographing dance moves for the likes of the Black Eyed Peas, Justin Timberlake and Missy Elliot. Billy adds, “She cancelled a lot of things just so I can drag her down here.” And even with her impressive resumé, Maryss still has nothing but good words about Billy. “Nobody sounds and looks as good as Billy. He dances harder than his dancers -- while singing live!” Sounds like the finalists will be facing tough competition, living up to what Maryss is expecting of Billy’s countrymen! Catch the premiere of Move and see what all the hype is about! The show follows SOP before segueing to Magic Kamison. Do you think the show will be a hit?
