Five things you didn't know about Donita Rose

We see Donita Rose on television every day but we don’t know her as much as her son does. During her birthday celebration on Basta Every Day Happy, JP Villarama disclosed five things not a lot of people know about the actress, host and chef.
1. She's one of the few Filipinos who have appeared on the cover of the prestigious Time magazine.
The 91-year-old magazine has featured all the biggest names on its covers – politicians, Hollywood stars, royalties and game-changers in different industries.
Only a couple of Filipinos, including the late Corazon Aquino, President Noynoy Aquino and Manny Pacquiao, have posed on the cover. The beautiful Donita Rose is one of the few.
2. She's a real-life dancing queen.
In between takes and when music plays, Donita enjoys dancing with her co-hosts Chef Boy Logro, Gladys Reyes and Alessandra de Rossi. Similarly, she dances her heart out in her occasional production numbers in the morning show.
3. She's super OC.
Her space-saving techniques are well exhibited in her condominium unit. She not only likes to see everything neatly stacked or lined up but she also enjoys labeling jars and containers accordingly.
4. She's not always good at speaking Tagalog but she always tries her best.
Because she was born in the United States and has an American father, Donita grew up having to speak English. Although she lived in the Philippines for many years, she admits to not speaking perfect Filipino but tries to learn how to use the language correctly.
5. She loves watching her son perform.
According to Donita, the difficulty of having to live apart from her husband Eric for now is alleviated by the presence and companionship of their son JP. Because Eric has to work in the U.S. and she in the Philippines, they have to make do with the situation for a while.
One of the things that make Donita smile is when she sees that JP, much like herself, is comfortable with the limelight. JP is a talented rapper and dancer.
