James Wright nang malamang pinsan niya si Christian Bautista: 'It explains why we sound the same.'

Baguhan pa lamang sa showbiz ang Anak Ko 'Yan finalist na si James Wright kaya hindi pa gaanong pamilyar ang mga tao sa kanya. Lately kasi ay maraming GMA soaps ang gumamit ng kanta ni James bilang theme songs tulad ng Sana'y Ikaw ng Carmela at Kung Hindi Ikaw ng My Destiny.
Ayon kay James, dahil wala pa siyang one year sa industriya, lagi raw inaakala ng mga tao na si Christian Bautista ang singer na naririnig. Halos magkapareho raw kasi sila ng boses.
Wala naman daw problema kay James kung magkamali ang mga tao. Aniya, "Even though they think it's Christian Bautista, it's fine for me because mas maganda 'yung biglang ay si James Wright pala 'yon. Then they do research about me and then they start following me and find me as a person that they can like."
Dagdag pa niya, "Hindi talaga ako offended na sinabi nila na 'Ay, si Christian Bautista 'yon' or 'Akala ko si Christian Bautista.' Kasi for me, it's fresh blood for them to explore."
Kuwento ng Strawberry Lane star, bukod pala sa boses ay mayroon pa silang ugnayan ni Christian.
"There's actually a funny story about me and Christian. We're blood related. He's actually my cousin," bahagi ni James.
Hindi rin alam ni James na magkadugo sila ni Christian. Ikinuwento niya sa amin kung paano ito nalaman ng kanyang ina.
"My mom was going down the family tree one day and then he found this guy named Andy Bautista and then she called him, 'Pinsan how are you?' 'Okay naman, how's your son?' 'He's in GMA.' And he said, 'Kumusta si Christian?' And my mom said, 'Why do you ask about him?' 'Ay, you don't know? Pinsan sila,'" kuwento ni James.
"So when she told me, I was like 'Ah it explains everything why we sound the same,'" ani James.
"It's so funny talaga. Happy surprise rin 'yon sa 'kin," pagtatapos ng Strawberry Lane star.
