Tom Rodriguez is saving up for two families

Tom is working like a machine to be able to provide for two families.

 

First, his parents. The reason why he’s determined to be excellent at what he does is because his eyes are fixed on bringing his parents to the Philippines. His family is based in the United States but he’s sacrificing being away from them so he could save up for his parents’ retirement.

 

“I really want to work hard and save up and bring my parents here. Gusto ko sila mag-retire malapit sa ‘kin,” he said.

 

Once he has saved up enough for his parents, he will also start saving up for his future family.

 

“Kapag matayo ko na ng bahay [ang parents ko] na talagang sa kanila na [and] I know for a hundred percent fact na their future is secure, wala na silang proproblemahin [and] everything is taken care of, then I’m gonna still keep saving up para naman sa magiging pamilya ko,” he shared.

 

Although his plan of being married by now didn’t materialize, he knows he wants to be a husband and a father someday.

 

“Ever since I was young, [being a family man 'yung] naging goal ko. I’ve never been one na inisip ko na ‘Ah, I wanna be a bachelor.’ I’ve always wanted to have a family. That’s my goal,” he disclosed.
