Celebrities tell 24 Oras their plans and traditions for the holiday season.
For Kapuso singer and Rak of Aegis lead star Aicelle Santos, leche flan is a staple on their Christmas table.
Sid Lucero’s family, on the other hand, prefers Spanish dishes for Christmas. His personal favorites are Picadillo and Lentejas.
However, he shared their Christmas will be different without their dad around.
“Everything, especially the food then the jokes. Then kapag after midnight na, kung kailan wala ng preno ‘yung bibig niya,” he recalled good memories of Mark Gil.
Kristoffer Martin plans to continue traditions for the holidays.
He said, “’Yung family namin [pupunta] doon sa Subic [sa] may mga orphans. Nagbibigay kami doon every year. Mga gamot, pagkain. ‘Yun ‘yung parang tradisyon na namin. Pa-thank you mo na rin at para i-share ‘yung blessings.”
Lovi Poe is not taking a break this season as she actively promotes her MMFF movie entry. Nonetheless, she is happy to be spending Christmas with her beau Rocco Nacino.
“Basta isa sa hilig niya. Mahilig siya sa ganitong bagay. Basta something na gusto ko lagi niyang susuotin,” she described her surprise present for him.
Ryza Cenon turned a year older on December 21 but she opted for a simpler yet heart-warming celebration.
“’Yung ihahanda ko bakit hindi ko nalang i-share sa mga nasa street na pamilya, na natutulog sila sa daan, wala silang makain habang kami ang sasarap ng pagkain namin,” she said.
For her part, Ina Feleo realized the true meaning of Christmas.
“Habang tumatagal, naiintindihan mo bakit kailangan magdasal. Kumbaga ‘yun ‘yung totoong meaning ng Pasko,” she revealed.
