Elmo is not Janine’s go-to person

When she’s stressed, Janine Gutierrez doesn’t immediately turn to boyfriend Elmo Magalona for comfort. The first person she calls or approaches is her mom and manager Lotlot de Leon.
“Si Mama kasi 'yung talagang kinukulit ko. Kapag stressed ako, siya 'yung sinestress ko,” Janine admitted on Basta Every Day Happy.
The More Than Words star got emotional when she was talking about her closeness with her mom. “Sobrang swerte talaga kasi namin kay Mama kasi when she had me naman, she was only a kid din naman eh so we (practically) grew up together,” she shared.
Janine is all-praises for her mom and is glad to have such tight relationship with her, both personally and professionally.
“Ang dami na niyang roles na ginampanan sa ‘min. Hindi lang mommy. [Pati] kaibigan, tagapagtanggol, lahat,” the actress added.
In the gratefulness-themed finale episode of Basta Every Day Happy, Janine grabbed the opportunity to tell Lotlot that the support is mutual.
“Thank you mama for taking care of us and always being there for us kahit masakit [ako] sa ulo. We love you talaga and we’ll always be here for you. As long as you’re happy, we’ll support all your decisions,” Janine said.
