After winning as Best Actress in a Musical in the 2014 Aliw Awards for the highly successful Rak of Aegis, singer Aicelle Santos is once again keeping herself busy. Aside from preparing for her first solo concert titled Class A on February 25, she is also set to release an EP that she herself produced.

Ivory Records is helping her distribute the album with 'Kapangyarihan' as its carrier single.

"Medyo mahirap, kasi it's per song talaga. I worked with different composers and very helpful naman sila kasi alam nilang self-produced. Sobrang thankful ako na nandoon sila para tulungan ako at i-guide ako," she tells GMANetwork.com.

She adds, "Mahirap siya, pero gusto ko siya kasi it's very personal. Mas maririnig ng tao who you really are with the choices of songs, the words, 'yung areglo. Mahirap siya kung iisipin mo ang proseso, mahirap at matagal. Pero once you hear the final mix of the songs, para kang nanganak (laughs). Itong single nga na 'Kapangyarihan', kanina ko lang nakuha ang final. Tapos pinaparinig ko, 'Ano, okay ba?' Ang sarap ng pakiramdam."

Aicelle was part of the singing group La Diva with Jonalyn Viray and Maricris Garcia, who disbanded in 2014. Was it difficult for her to put up a solo concert?

"Doing a concert alone is something new to me. Pero kasi, I've been singing eh. Matagal na rin naman akong kumakanta.Alam mo 'yung feeling na super excited yet nervous at the same time, pero very positive ka? I don't know kung bakit ko nararamdaman 'yun pero I just pray na talagang magiging maayos and very successful ang concert."

Speaking of La Diva, was it the management's decision for them to break up?

"Individually din, kasi wala naman yatang grupo na as in forever stuck together. Parang panahon na rin talaga na maiparinig at maipakita namin 'yung individual selves namin, with Jonalyn sa concert scene, ako naman I started theater, and Maricris is doing very well in acting. I hope they can watch [my concert]."

But Aicelle is positive that they will once again perform together.

"Siguro in time. I see us having a concert together. I want that, and I know that will happen. It might not be soon, but in the future."
