This November, GMA News TV brings comics to life in its latest K-drama offering, 'Extra-ordinary You.'
The series follows high school girl Dani (Kim Hye-yoon) who is a student at a prestigious academy. By chance, she discovers that she is a character in a comic book titled “Secret” and is only a side character with a lame set-up.
Not satisfied by her fate, she forges her own destiny by changing the story's plot and even goes against the will of an omniscient and omnipotent “Writer.”

Kim Hye-yoon is a 23-year-old South Korean actress who debuted in 2013 as a supporting character. At the time, she focused on her studies after receiving a full scholarship at Konkuk University, one of Korea's leading universities, where she majored in film studies.
After graduating, she became known for her role in 'Sky Castle,' where she received massive success and won her Best New Actress at the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards.
Kim Hye-yoon's role as Dani in 'Extra-ordinary You' is her first leading lady role that earned her the New and Excellence Actress at the MBC Drama Awards.
Dani is a beautiful student and the only daughter of a wealthy family. She later finds out that she is inside a teen fiction comic book called "Secret."
K-pop idol Rowoon began his acting career when he appeared in the TV series 'School 2017.' He began receiving bigger roles afterward and was nominated for the New Actor award when he appeared in 'Where Stars Land' in 2018.
Outside his acting gigs, he is a member of the boy band SF9 alongside members Youngbin, Inseong, Jaeyoon, Dawon, Zuho, Taeyang, Hwiyoung, and Chani.
Like Kim Hye-yoon, 'Extra-ordinary You' is Rowoon's first leading role. Since appearing in the series, he was nominated at the MBC Drama Awards and was awarded Best News Actor.
In the series, he plays Number 13, a handsome student that Dani starts noticing and liking after he saves her multiple times. Unlike Dani, he is a nameless extra to the point that even the other characters are not aware of his existence.
Lee Jae-wook started his acting career alongside South Korean actor Hyun Bin in the 2018 TV drama 'Memories of the Alhambra.' His supporting roles earned him instant recognition, thus landing him in other major roles like in 'Extra-ordinary You.'
Lee Jae-wook plays the rude and arrogant Prince and is a member of the A3, a trio of the most handsome and powerful boys in school. Prince is engaged to marry Dani, whom he loathes due to their arranged marriage.
South Korean singer Lee Na-eun is a member of the K-pop idol group April under DSP Media. She started her official acting debut after appearing in the web drama 'April Love' in 2016.
Lee Na-eun will be taking on Vida, a beautiful student who comes from a low-income family and who also happens to be the main character of the comic book Secret.
In 2018, actor and model Kim Young-dae started appearing in supporting roles in several K-dramas, including 'Just Too Bored,' 'Crushes Reverse,' and 'Its Okay To Be Sensitive.' He landed his big role a year later when he was cast as Hero in the K-drama 'Extra-ordinary You.'
Kim Young-dae plays the role of Hero, a second-generation chaebol and leader of A3. He is the male main character of the comic book Secret and has feelings for Vida.
Jung Gun-joo started his acting career when he appeared in the K-drama 'Should We Kiss First?' in 2018. The following year, he got his big break when he appeared as one of the main cast in 'Extra-ordinary You.'
Jung Gun-joo will appear as the cool and friendly student named Robin, who is skilled in music. He is the second male main character after Hero and is also a member of the A3.
Everything that will happen in the characters' lives is written in the comic book titled "Secret," written by an unknown but omniscient writer.
To change her destiny, Dani challenges the writer by freeing herself from its control.
