Doctors attending to Jolo Revilla recommended a limit on the number of visitors allowed inside his room. This is because of the actor-politicians's pneumonia and to protect him from further infections.

This was revealed by his mother, Cong. Lani Mercado on a Facebook post yesterday.

She writes, "Thank you Lord for another day of life for my son, Jolo.To our friends who wish to see my son we were advised by his doctors to limit his visitors due to possible pneumonia and exposure to other infections since he is not yet well and bleeding is still there.Your prayers mean a lot at this point.Hope you all understand.Thank you for all the love and support.VG Jolo sends his love and appreciation."

Jolo is suffering from cracked ribs and partially collapsed lungs due to the supposed accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound he sustained last Saturday. He has also contracted pneumonia due to fluid that accumulated in his lungs. His weakened immune system has doctors fearing further infections.

Meanwhile, the lawyers of his father Sen. Bong Revilla Jr.—who is currently detained due to his involvement in the controversial pork barrel scam—are among those praying for his fast recovery.

In a text message sent to GMA News Online yesterday, Atty. Ramon Esguerra said, "I'd rather see Jolo back in shape so the Senator would not be tormented while awaiting trial of the cases against him. That'll give us the focus we need to prepare his defense."
