With the release of 'Trese,' the newest Filipino animated series, local animation is getting more recognized as the creativity of Filipino artists wowed the public.
In relation to this, curiosity about the other Filipino animation series and films arose when Trese made headlines as its star-studded cast was revealed. Filipino-Canadian star Shay Mitchell and actress Liza Soberano lead the pack as they voice the main character, Alexandra Trese, in the English and Tagalog language versions of the series.
While the booming industry still has a long way to go, there is no doubt that our very own animated works and animators deserve to be in the limelight worldwide as well.
