Thea Astley is 'The Clash' Season 2's first runnerup. In the said season. Jeremiah Tiangco was declared the winner.
Raised in Qatar, Thea moved to the Philippines by herself in 2018 after finishing high school with the intention of taking up Political Science at Ateneo De Manila University. Her plans changed when she decided to try her luck in 'The Clash' which later became her baptism of fire in showbiz.
She then proved that her decision to reside in the country is right because of the opportunities that the singing competition has given her.
Thea may not have won the competition, but her talent was noticed by GMA Artist Center which offered her to take care of her blossoming career.
Besides being a singer, Thea is regarded as a total performer which led her to become a mainstay in the GMA weekly variety show 'All-Out Sunday,' sharing the spotlight with some of the country's biggest stars like Lani Misalucha, Aicelle Santos, and Julie Anne San Jose.

Thea Astley advanced to 'The Clash' Season 2 preliminaries when she joined 'Studio 7's' Duet With Me and declared as a weekly winner. Here, she submitted her audition video online and had the chance to perform with Julie Anne San Jose, one of 'The Clash's' main hosts.
Thea got her first break by competing in the reality singing competition 'The Clash,' where she clinched the first runnerup spot in 2019.
Thea was among the three international contenders who were part of the Top 64 finalists of 'The Clash.' Dubbed as "RnB Sweetheart of Qatar," she is the only contestant from abroad who reached the competition's Final Six.
Thea is currently a mainstay in 'All Out Sundays' where she performs with the country's biggest stars like Julie Anne San Jose, Barbie Forteza, Christian Bautista, Mark Bautista, Ken Chan, Rita Daniela, Gabbi Garcia, Ruru Madrid, and Kyline Alcantara.
For Thea, having the chance to share the stage with Julie Anne San Jose is a milestone already because the Asia's Pop Diva was present during the momentous stages in her life. The former said, "Being given the chance to perform with you (and have you shake your booty while I rap) is an experience that I will forever be grateful for."
One of the highlights of the weekly musical variety show 'All-Out Sundays' are the powerhouse performances from a group of female divas called "The Divas of Queendom '' of which Thea is part. In this segment, she showcases her vocal talents in powerful performances with Lani Misalucha, Aicelle Santos, Julie Anne San Jose, Rita Daniela, Golden Cañedo, Jessica Villarubin, and Jennie Gabriel.
Thea is one talented lady; viewers are witness to her remarkable talent in singing and dancing, not to mention her amazing acting skills that helped her take on lead roles in many theater plays in her school.
While Thea enjoys what she loves, she makes it a point to prioritize her studies. In fact, she graduated Senior High School as class Valedictorian. At this writing, Thea is taking up Business & Humanities at INTO Manchester.

Thea's song “Ang Puso Kong Ito'y Sa 'Yo” used as the soundtrack for GMA's hit series First Yaya played a huge role in the success of the show.
Thea graced the opening ceremony of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) on June 13.
Thea joined Kapuso artists Kyline Alcantara, Jessica Villarubin, Anthony Rosaldo, Hannah Precillas, and Jeremiah Tiangco in singing the league's theme song for Season 96 titled "Rise Up Stronger" -- which also serves as the season's slogan.
Thea added another feather to her cap after she was chosen to host the music and talk podcast show, Behind the Song.
"Basically we're featuring an artist every episode na who has just released a new song, and we ask them to tell the story behind the song. But actually it's even more than that kasi we want them to talk about the whole process of it,” Thea said about the show.
“Doon pa lang sa dumating sa kanila 'yung idea nu'ng song to the journey of recording it, to releasing it. Aside from that, gusto rin naming ilagay sa limelight 'yung the people who are also an integral part of creating the song.”
As a host of GMA Network's Behind The Song Podcast, Thea Astley revealed her preparations before the interview. "Every time na sasabihin na sa akin kung sino 'yung artist that we will be interviewing, I always make it a point to listen to the whole discography of that artist if I can.
"And not just once, like if I'm interviewing someone today, the day before that I'll be streaming all of their songs repeatedly because I want to know what I'm talking about."
In a press interview, Thea Astley shared advice for those dreaming to be a podcaster. "Don't be afraid to speak. For example, even if you are in the podcast with someone else, I always appreciate the podcast if it feels like a conversation.
"So when you are doing your own podcast, hopefully, you will be able to just say what you think, what you feel. Kasi people will appreciate that. People will appreciate what your own thoughts and opinions are."
