After years of secrecy, the eccentric Willy Wonka announces that he is giving away five Golden Tickets that will entitle the holder to a tour of his mysterious chocolate factory.
Kindhearted Charlie Bucket is among the five lucky kids to get a hold of a Golden Ticket. He almost ends up selling the ticket to help his impoverished family, until his grandfather convinces him otherwise.
It's a good thing his grandfather convinced him ?to go because Willy Wonka's factory is something to behold. Candy grows on trees and it even has a chocolate river! He has Oompa-Loompas and highly-trained squirrels working for him. There are things in there that no human has seen before.
