LIGHTSUM means "a group of bright LIGHTs coming together as one SUM illuminates everyone in this world and brings more positive energy to people through their message of hope," according to the group's label Cube Entertainment.
On October 13, 2021, LIGHTSUM released their sophomore single album 'Light a Wish,' along with the music video for the title track "VIVACE."
According to Huiyeon, 'Light a Wish' symbolically expresses the image of the 21st century Genie. "I would say 'Genie-dol,' which makes people think that everytime they see LIGHTSUM, their wishes will come true."
With 'Light a Wish,' LIGHTSUM aims to showcase their original powerful performances, stable vocals, and more upgraded, cool, and shining charms.
The album contains three tracks, including synth-heavy dance-pop song "VIVACE" followed by "You, Jam," and high-teen style melody "Popcorn."
The release follows the K-pop girl group's debut single album 'Vanilla,' which dropped in June.
