An Easter treat with GMA's back to back movies

By MARAH RUIZ

Easter is a time to celebrate and what better way to do it than with these two adorable movies.

Bee Movie tells the story of Barry B. Benson, a bee fresh out of college. He joins the workforce of Honex Industries as a collector of pollen.

He wanders into a flower shop owned by Vanessa and befriends her. From hanging out with her, Barry soon finds out about the humans stealing honey from the bees—and worse, the poor treatment of the bees in the farms.

Barry then decides to sue the human race! At face value, it seems like a classic example of a little guy versus the world, but his actions will soon prove to have a worldwide chilling effect.

Following Bee Movie is a movie perfect for Easter, Hop.

In Hop, E.B. who is the heir to becoming the next Easter Bunny, runs away to Hollywood to pursue his dream of becoming a drummer.

Here, he meets Fred O'Hare (James Marsden), a kindhearted but ambition-less human. E.B. tricks Fred into letting him stay with him. He soon reveals to Fred that he is the Easter Bunny.

The Easter Bunny is very important to Fred as he has seen him back when he was a child. E.B agrees to train Fred when the human reveals to him that it is his dream to be the Easter Bunny.

Their unlikely friendship prove to be at risk because E.B.'s father sent his royal guards, the Pink Berets, to bring E.B. back. Meanwhile, Fred's family are still waiting for him to get a real job.

Will E.B. and Fred fulfill their own dreams while still granting the wishes of their respective families?

Catch Bee Movie followed by Hop, Easter Sunday, April 5, starting at 10:45 am on GMA's Kapuso Movie Festival.
