The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) continues its tradition of showing only Filipino films at the cinemas during the holiday season as it returns this December.
In November, the Metro Manila Development Authority released the list of participating films this year. The eight entries were judged based on artistic excellence (40%), commercial appeal (40%), Filipino sensibility (10%), and global appeal (10%).
Last year's edition marked the first time that MMFF was held online because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes returns to the big screen as he bannered 'A Hard Day' alongside John Arcilla. The film is the Philippine adaptation of the 2014 South Korean film that follows the story of a detective who accidentally runs over a man and hides the corpse in his mother's coffin.
