Donita Rose, first time maging kontrabida sa 'Let the Love Begin'

"When I was offered this role, I was really really scared."
Ito ang inamin ni Donita Rose nang makausap ng entertainment press sa press conference ng upcoming primetime series na Let the Love Begin. Gaganap siya bilang si Celeste, ang second wife ni Tony (Gardo Versoza) at magiging stepmother ni Pia (Gabbi Garcia).
Sa tagal na ni Donita sa industriya ay ngayon lamang siya mapapasama sa isang teleserye, at magiging main kontrabida pa rito.
"This is the first time na magso-soap ako. Lagi kong iniiwasan ang drama dahil mas gusto ko pang tumawa kaysa umiyak. At hindi lang siya soap opera, kungdi ako ang kontrabida. I'm actually glad that I took on the role. It's been really difficult and challenging for me because by nature I'm a peacemaker. Kapag inaapi ako ng tao, I take the higher ground and let them be. I try to make peace with the person."
Kuwento pa niya, ang kanyang Basta Every Day Happy co-hosts at magagaling na kontrabida na sina Alessandra de Rossi at Gladys Reyes ang nagmungkahi na subukan niya ang ganitong klaseng role.
"Kasi noong Basta Every Day Happy, magkakasama kami nina Alex at Gladys. Mga drama queen ang mga girls na 'yan. So kapag nasa room kami, lagi kaming naglalaro. Because Gladys is the ultimate kontrabida, she would always say 'D, magkontrabida ka nga sa soap.' Tapos we would always joke around in the dressing room. Pinagtatawanan nila ako kasi kapag nagto-throw ako ng lines, minsan nabubulol ako or mali 'yung pagka-pronounce ko. There are things culturally that I should know that I don't know about so marami akong mali na ganun."
Pero na-realize din ng dating model at VJ na kailangan niyang gawin ito so she can try new things.
"When they offered the role, I realized that I was really looking for something challenging and different. Although we joked about it, ito talaga ang gusto kong mangyari. So when it was right there in front of me, sabi ko 'Am I ready for this?'"
Ano'ng klaseng kontrabida kaya ang dapat abangan ng viewers?
"What I really wanted was not the typical very fierce kontrabida. Gusto ko talaga scheming. As in ginagamit ko 'yung aking very angelic face to manipulate and scheme people which is the worst kind of evil that you can be."
