Mike Tan auditioned for Tom Rodriguez's role on 'My Husband's Lover'

Kapuso star Mike Tan admitted on Walang Tulugan that he auditioned for the controversial hit show My Husband’s Lover which aired on GMA Network in 2013.

 

“Nag-audition ako para [sa My Husband’s Lover]… Marami naman kaming nag-audition kaya lang siyempre, ang nag-excel si Tom [Rodriguez],” he revealed.

 

He acknowledged that Tom’s portrayal of Vincent was exceptional and that he did the role justice. The show wouldn’t have been as successful if not for the talent and heart that Tom had given.

 

“Si Tom ang nakitaan ng potential para sa role na 'yun so sa kanya 'yun. 'Yun nga 'yung lagi kong sinasabi. Si Tom 'yung nakuha. Sa kanya 'yun [rightfully],
he added.

 

Mike believes that an actor scores the roles that are meant for him and he’s happy and thankful to be be part of The Rich Man’s Daughter, another groundbreaking show. He plays Paul, the brother of Jade Tanchingco.

 

Backing him up is his co-star and brother in the series TJ Trinidad who said that Mike’s performance in The Rich Man’s Daughter should be anticipated by
the audiences.

 

“Hintayin niyo si Mike dito. I’m so proud of Mike and I think no one else could’ve played this character of Paul better than Mike,” TJ said.
