By BEA RODRIGUEZ

It’s common nowadays for showbiz royalties to groom their prince and princesses for them to be able to pass on their crowns to their respective successors.

The Philippine Queen of Comedy Aiai Delas Alas is no different and wants the best for his son Sancho, “Mommyger [Mommy Manager] ako. Tututukan ko talaga ‘yan at lahat gagawin ko para sumikat siya.”

“Parati ko sinasabi sa kanya na God bless him. Mag-enjoy siya at galingan niya sa pag-aartista niya kasi nasa dugo naman niya 'yun eh,” the Kapuso star added.

The comedienne told her son to respect and greet his co-workers, especially to introduce himself to senior artists, “Huwag mong i-feeling na kilala ka nila.”

The closeness between the Let the Love Begin star and her son reflects their relationship which she asked from the Lord when she was still single. Sancho is the eldest, and she would always bring him to the set, “Dalawa kami magkasama so tutok na tutok talaga ako sa kanya.”

“Human lang 'yan mga anak ko, tao lang 'yan [at] may pagkakamali. Hindi naman sila perfect so kahit ang human nature nila, ang emosyon nila, hindi nila mailabas,” Aiai recounted there were times her kids got bullied in public, but they don’t do anything about it to protect her reputation.

“Kahit gusto nila lumaban, iniisip nila muna ‘Kapag lumaban kami dito, sigurado laglag si Mama nito’ lalo na ngayon, 'di ba? Ang social media grabe.” she added, “Sabi ko, ‘Ganun talaga anak, may pros and cons, may downside.’”
