Pia Guanio leaves Chika Minute after eleven years

After being the host of showbiz segment Chika Minute on 24 Oras for eleven years, Pia Guanio says goodbye.
This morning, she published a series of tweets (https://twitter.com/piaguanio) announcing that she will officially be ending her hosting stint on the evening news program tonight.
"Thank you for watching and making Chika Minute so much a part of your daily news habit,” she wrote on Twitter.
The Kapuso host shared that her reason for leaving is her family. “I’m doing this to be able to spend more time with Steeve and especially Scarlet,” she added.
After over a decade of being part of the 24 Oras family, she’s overwhelmed and grateful for the opportunity that she has been given.
“I want to thank GMA News for the trust they gave me anchoring Chika Minute for 11 years… I want to thank Ms. Wilma Galvante who also opened a lot of doors for me while she was still in GMA… And I want to thank the Lord above for all His many blessings,” she said.
Viewers can still watch her on Eat Bulaga at noon from Monday to Saturday and on Homebase in GMA News TV on Saturday mornings.
