Julie Anne San Jose, the next comedy prodigy of Michael V?

Diamond-selling recording artist Julie Anne San Jose relishes the opportunity to work with comedy superstar Michael V.
The Asia’s Pop Sweetheart is a semi-regular in the groundbreaking sitcom Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kuwento. She plays Nikki, the love interest of Chito Manaloto (Jake Vargas).
In an interview by GMANetwork.com with the Kapuso singer, the Sunday All Stars diva talked about how fun it is to portray the role of Nikki.
Julie Anne said, “Sobrang ako siya… ‘yung character ni Nikki ano siya eh ganun ako. But she also has a sweet side, pero nasa loob lang ‘yung panlabas na anyo niya 'pag nakita mo siya very strong ‘yung personality.”
“Nakaka-relate ako sa totoong buhay, kasi somehow ganun talaga ako.”
Moreover, the young superstar shared that working under the stewardship of Michael V is a hassle-free experience since shooting Pepito is a breeze.
“It was fun working with the whole cast, especially si Kuya Bitoy kasi every time na makikita namin siya palagi siyang nagpapatawa or alam mo ‘yung kahit hindi siya magpatawa, pero ‘yung ginagawa niya nakakatawa siya. Sobrang enjoy talaga and ‘yung mga episode 'tsaka ‘yung mga eksena namin sobrang-sobrang light lang talaga.”
The 'Right Where You Belong' singer also explained that she doesn’t get that many chances to talk personally with Bitoy to ask him for pointers on comedy acting.
Instead, she keenly observes how the comedian works on set to get valuable information on how to deliver jokes or punch lines.
“Hindi ako nakakakuha ng tips sa kanya. We don’t get to talk personally, but as I have observed si Kuya Bitoy hindi siya ‘yung tina-try mong magpatawa. He’s not trying hard to come up with a joke… ‘Yun nga effortless talaga siya.”
Julie Anne added that everybody has a funny side and it helps that she's with a stellar cast that brings out the comedienne in her.
“And also ‘yung mga iba rin, mga cast natin. Kasi everyone naman has a funny side, hindi lang talaga natin nailalabas. Kasi it depends dun sa mga tao nakakasama din natin.”
