Catch the best of Asia starting this June on GMA

This coming June, expect two exciting new titles in the Heart of Asia, GMA!

 

On June 15, watch an ugly duckling turn into a swan on Birth of a Beauty starring the beautiful Han Ye Seul. An overweight wife gets the chance of a lifetime as a rich, eccentric man funds her transformation through extensive plastic surgery. Armed with a new face and body, will she use this chance as a new start or will she remain hung up on revenge?
 

Meanwhile, the historical Korean medical drama, The King's Doctor will debut on TV on June 29. Baek Gwang Hyun, a humble horse doctor will rise up the ranks of Joseon era politics to become the royal physician. Will he able to convince the court of his talent and medical knowledge despite his humble origins?
 

The rest of the year will prove to be just as exciting with the Heart of Asia acquiring the best of Asian dramas. 

 

Kids of the '90s will rejoice at Reply 1997, a nostalgic look at growing up in the time of dueling boy bands and bubblegum pop music.

 

Find out what happens when a boy who has been pretending all his life meets a girl who cannot lie in Pinocchio. It stars Park Shin Ye of hit movie Miracle in Cell No. 7 and Lee Jong Suk of I Hear Your Voice. 

 

Korean wave stars Kwon Sang Woo and Choi Ji Woo, who have made viewers laugh and cry on Stairway to Heaven return in Temptation, a sultry new drama about money and ambition. 

 

Healer brings back Empress Ki star, Ji Chang Wook, who will play a mysterious night errand guy in this drama-thriller. 

 

You're the Best, Lee Soon Shin will showcase K-pop idol IU as a down-on-her-luck student, who even after many failures, is driven to make something of herself. 

 

Catch another heart-stopping tale of revenge in Ice Adonis, where a woman will do anything to avenge the death of her family. 

 

Taiwanese drama Someone Like You is also in the pipeline this year. Will a man who lost his fiancée and his eyesight in an accident find true love with his nurse who happens to share his fiancée’s voice? 

 

Also this year, is a much-awaited rerun of the hit horror-comedy, Master's Sun starring two of Korea's biggest stars, So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin. 

 

There is much to expect this year as GMA, the Heart of Asia continues to bring viewers only the best in Asian entertainment.
