"There are just two other shows that is significant in my career, one is TGIS and the other is Encantadia. And I thought after Encantadia, it will be hard to reach doing something beyond one year. Lo and behold, there was this humble show called The Half Sisters na hanggang ngayon refuses to die," 'yan ang pahayag ng direktor ng Afternoon Prime soap na si Mark Reyes sa The Half Sisters' thanksgiving party noong nakaraang linggo.

"This is so rare na here we are again, one year later, same people talking about the same show instead of another show that's starting. This is a show that's still continuing," pahayag ni Direk Mark.

"Actually noong nag-uumpisa kami, I remembered telling Jean [Garcia] and Ryan [Eigenmann] kasi sila 'yung una kong eksena noon, sabi ko you know what guys, we have nothing in this show. We have no special effects, we really don't have the big budget. All we have are your talents and the good story so let's try to make it work," bahagi niya.

"And my mind was, four months later, we're gonna close it like any other regular soaps. The next thing we know, we kept on extending and extending and extending," dagdag pa niya.

"Until today, we're very happy that our ratings are very high again so kung tatanungin ninyo kung kailan matatapos 'to, I don't think anybody can answer that question. We're just very thankful that you're here and that we reached beyond this because of you," pagtatapos niya.
