LOOK: The first ever YouTube FanFest in Manila

Thousands of fans flocked to the first-ever YouTube FanFest Philippines' “Meet and Greet” event of local and international Internet sensations which was held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom last Saturday (June 26).
Google Philippines brought to the country international YouTuber stars Bethany Mota, Kurt Hugo, Schneider, ThatcherJoe, Casper Lee, Oli White, AJ Rafael, Macy Kate as well as Ana Victorino and Kristine of RealAsianBeauty.
American internet sensation Macy Kate told Nelson Canlas on Balitanghali that she felt happy meeting her Filipino fans, “It’s so heartwarming to see everyone and the fans are amazing. They’re so loud and feeling the energy onstage is awesome.”
She also got the chance to interact with the homeless outside of her hotel in Parañaque the night she arrived the Philippines.
The vlogger-singer narrated she and fellow YouTuber AJ Rafael went out to feed the homeless, “Actually, AJ Rafael and I were at the dinner party [during] the first night we were here, and it was kind of a welcome party. We had a bunch of food on the table, and we couldn’t eat it all.”
Filipino YouTube stars Llyod Café Cadena, Mich Liggayu, Abra, Chicser, Donnalyn Bartolome, Bogart the Explorer and Jireh Lim were also present at the event.
Mich Liggayu, half of YouTube sensation “JaMich,” was asked about her estranged relationship with deceased boyfriend Jam Sebastian’s mother, Maricar.

“Mas okay na lang po sa akin na tumahimik na lang kasi ayaw ko na po sanang makipagsabayan sa ganung issue,” she commented.
Mich is set to shoot her first movie with Kapuso star Benjamin Alves and comedian John Lapus. She said it’s an entirely new experience, “Panibago po lahat ng ginagawa ko ngayon so hindi ko pa po alam kung anong mga kailangang gawin, pero super exciting po.”
