Derek Ramsay on Jennylyn Mercado: 'She's a star, and she doesn't even try'

Kapatid actor-host Derek Ramsay is all praises towards Kapuso star Jennylyn Mercado for bagging this year’s number one spot in the FHM 100 Sexiest list.
“Grabe ‘yung katawan niya noh? Pero with Jennylyn, hindi lang siya pinanganak na ganun, she’s really dedicated in how she lives an active lifestyle kahit puyat na puyat siya. Grabe siya mag-work out [at] grabe siya mag-train. Talagang deserving siya to be number one in FHM,” Derek said in an interview with GMANetwork.com during the launch of Tanduay Select.
He revealed what he likes best about the My Faithful Husband leading lady, “She’s a star and she doesn’t even try so that’s what I like about her. She’s not scared to get under the sun, she’s not scared to get dirty, [and] she’s not scared to get outside of her own self.”
Derek is proud of what Jen has become and that she deserves everything in her life now. He said, “Jen’s on a roll! She’s looking good, [and] she’s happy. Good things happen to good people. Talagang deserving siya sa mga awards at sa mga proyekto na nakukuha niya.”
He is also excited to work with the actress for the second part of their movie, “The whole experience with English Only, Please was a great one so I look forward to working with Jennylyn again next year sa 2016 for 'English Only [Please] 2.' Akala ko magkakaroon kami ng pelikula this year pero mukhang [it was moved to] next year.”
Although the Kapuso actress is also this year’s Tanduay Calendar Girl, she wasn’t able to grace the event. Derek explained in behalf, “Busy ata eh [at] madaming ginagawa eh.”
