Ahn Hyo-seop secures military service exemption

Korean actor Ahn Hyo-seop is reportedly exempted from mandatory military service in South Korea.
Korean men of fit health are obligated to complete their military service before the age of 30, which will last approximately 18 to 24 months.
Ahn Hyo-seop has been exempted according to reports due to his Canadian citizenship. He was born in Seoul, but raised in Toronto since he was seven, going by the name Paul Ahn, until age 17 when he began his showbiz career and was scouted by JYP Entertainment.
He graduated from Kookmin University with a degree in International Business. He made his acting debut in 2015 in the drama Splash Splash Love. Among his notable dramas are Still 17, Dr. Romantic, Business Proposal, and A Time Called You.
He was in Manila for his "Here and Now" fan meet last October 8, 2023, and the Gentle Monster store launch in BGC, Taguig City on October 17. He is scheduled to be back in Manila this December 14, 2023, for the 2023 Asia Artist Awards happening at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
