In an exclusive interview with GMA Regional TV News, the queens shared what to them is the definition of being 'queen.' Their answers revealed beautifully distinct fragments of their personalities.

Unconventional

Thea Astley, the youngest in the group, thinks a queen is someone who is out of the norm and is capable of being different. “Someone who is unconventional, because I don't consider or I don't think my range is what you (would) commonly think of as biritera. Being a queen is all about hardwork and pushing yourself outside of your limits, outside of what you think are your limits.”

Perseverance

Jessica Villarubin believes that a queen should show exemplary strength and perseverance. “Wala kang naatrasan na laban, (o anumang) mga pagsubok sa buhay. Mga kantang mahirap - mapa-Spanish man yan, Korean, o Chinese!” the Cebuana said.

Confidence

Mariane Osabel is brimming with confidence when she said that the true mark of a queen is her confidence. ”Kailangan mo maging confident sa mga performances mo at syempre sa sarili mo."

Inspiration

Hannah Precillas, on the other hand, sees being an inspiration to everyone as the greatest mark of a queen. “Through your confidence, through your courage - na kaya mong harapin ang challenges, magiging inspiration ka sa iba na hindi lang ikaw ang nakikinabang, but also yung mga nanonood sayo,” said Hannah.

Self-control

Meanwhile, Julie Anne San Jose thinks being a queen is all about empowerment and self-control. “Being a queen is being empowered, and taking full control of yourself.

Self-love

For Rita Daniela, on top of being empowered, it's having the courage to love and accept yourself fully that makes a true queen. “You also have to be confident because it will show, if you are not, it will also show,” added Rita.
