Korean star Kim Won-shik recently arrived in the Philippines!
The talented artist has shown his acting prowess through his appearances in Korean drama series such as True Beauty and Alchemy of Souls. He was also a part of Netflix's dating series titled Love Like a K-Drama.
Aside from his projects in Korea, Kim Won-shik also had the chance to work with Filipino actors as he starred in Universal Records Philippines' mini-series Pag-Ibig Na Kaya with Kapuso stars Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, and Korean-German singer Yoon Jayden.
One fun fact about the Alchemy of Souls actor is that he studied in the Philippines for six and a half years. In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Kim Won-shik said that the Philippines feels like his second motherland.
“I've been to a lot of places here in the Philippines and I love the places. I stayed here when I was young. It feels like this is my second motherland. So, it's really familiar all the time when I come here and, still, my mom is living here with my cousins. So I feel comfort here and I really want to meet people who are supporting me,” he shared.

Korean artist Kim Won-shik recently arrived in the Philippines. Upon his arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the talented star got to talk to the press about his upcoming projects.
Kim Won-shik has shown his acting prowess through his appearances in some Korean drama series such as True Beauty and Alchemy of Souls. He was also a part of Netflix's dating series titled Love Like a K-Drama.
Kim Won-shik also had the opportunity to star in a Filipino project. He was a part of Universal Records Philippines' mini-series titled Pag-Ibig Na Kaya, which also starred Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose, Asawa ng Asawa Ko actor Rayver Cruz, and Korean-German singer Yoon Jayden.
When asked which Filipino artist he wishes to work with, Kim Won-shik said he wants to work with Julie Anne San Jose again, this time on a music project.
“I had acting experience with Julie Anne [San Jose] and I know and I heard Julie Anne sings really, really great. If Rayver [Cruz] allows me to collaborate with her, I really want to have a music project with her,” he said.
When asked what kind of music Kim Won-shik wants to do with Julie Anne San Jose, the Korean artist said he wishes to work on acoustic music with her.
Aside from Julie Anne San Jose, Kim Won-shik also wishes to meet and work with It's Showtime host Anne Curtis.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Kim Won-shik shared how his acting career started.
“When I was in college here, I had a great chance that somebody asked me to do this job from Korea. So I went back to Korea. And then, that's the time I started practicing singing, etc. I really wanted to act, that's why I really put [in the] efforts, and then I got projects from Korea like True Beauty [and] Alchemy of Souls," he said.
The Korean actor added that he finished taping as a main role for a project.
Kim Won-shik is grateful to have projects both in Korea and in the Philippines.
Aside from his acting projects, Kim Won-shik also revealed that he has upcoming music soon.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Kim Won-shik said that the Philippines feels like his second motherland.
