Newest K-pop boy band NOWADAYS proved that they have a unique musicality and charm, which everyone should watch for.
Despite only making their debut on April 2, NOWADAYS had a successful launch with their first single album, NOWADAYS, featuring the lead track, "OoWee." As of this writing, the music video for "OoWee" has garnered over 13.3 million views on NOWADAYS' YouTube channel.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, NOWADAYS talked about their desire to create a new genre called NOWADAYS Days-Pop and make their own music with their unique charms.
"We want to become a group that gives comfort and inspiration when listening to our songs with various genres of music, not limited to one genre. Additionally, I want to use our music to spread out positive vibe to people everywhere," Siyun said in Korean.

NOWADAYS is the newest K-pop boy band of Cube Entertainment. The five members are Hyeonbin, Yoon, Yeonwoo, Jinhyuk, and Siyun.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Hyeonbin explained the meaning behind their group name NOWADAYS, which "contains the aspiration to be curious about the audiences and fans." It stands for "present (NOW)" and to create cherished moments and memories together in "future (DAYS)."
NOWADAYS officially made their debut on April 2, 2024, with their first single album NOWADAYS featuring the lead single "OoWee." The album also consists of two B-side tracks, "Now" and Ticket."
Kim Hyeon-bin, stage name Hyeonbin, is the leader and vocalist of NOWADAYS. He was born on August 31, 2002, and stands at least 177.5 cm.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Hyeonbin expressed his desire for his group to win a "Rookie of the Year" in 2024 and become well-known.
Lee Yoon, stage name Yoon, is the vocalist of NOWADAYS. He was born on August 27, 2003, and stands at least 175 cm.
According to Yoon, he is good at reading people, has many talents, and is quite emotional. He told GMANetwork.com that he enjoyed singing and dancing from a very young age. He decided to pursue his dream of becoming an idol when he was in high school.
Jeong Yeonwoo, stage name Yeonwoo, is also a vocalist of NOWADAYS. He was born on September 23, 2003, and stands at least 176 cm.
Yeonwoo claimed that he is an introvert. He shared with GMANetwork.com that his inspiration is the global superstars BTS. According to him, "BTS is my inspiration and the reason I was able to go through six years as a trainee. Whenever I had a difficult time, BTS was the one who gave me the motivation to pick myself up again."
Jang Jinhyuk, stage name Jinhyuk, is the rapper of NOWADAYS. He was born on May 21, 2004, and stands at least 179 cm. He is the youngest member of the group.
According to Jinhyuk, the biggest goal of NOWADAYS is to give comfort and encouragement to their fans. He said in an interview with GMANetwork.com, "We want to be a group that our fans can play with when they're ready to have fun. And we want to make music that can encourage the fans when having a hard time."
Kim Siyun, stage name Siyun, is the visual and also a rapper of NOWADAYS. He was born on August 24, 2004, and stands at least 179 cm.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Siyun shared that he has had an interest in music since he was a child. He said in Korean, "My parents introduced me to various genres when I was young. In my third year of middle school, I received a casting offer and began preparing for auditions. While preparing for the auditions, I found myself inspired to become an idol."
