'Sunday PinaSaya' wins first award as 'Best Entertainment Program'

The newest noontime comedy and variety show of GMA, Sunday PinaSaya won its first award in less than six months since it aired on August 2015 as the Best Entertainment Program at the 2016 Platinum Stallion Media Awards given by the Trinity University of Asia.

Kapuso rising star Jerald Napoles had the pleasure of receiving the award on February 3, “I feel very honored to receive it in behalf of my co-hosts in the show. We are like family so it feels like we are all there during the awarding ceremony.”

No doubt, the show has made its mark in the entertainment industry as the “number one noontime habit” for introducing new formats and segments which made the show lead in ratings almost every Sunday.

“Once in a while, nagugustuhan din ng tao ‘yung bago, [especially] on a Sunday noontime. I think nagustuhan ng tao ‘yung humahalakhak habang nagpapahinga matapos ang hectic [na] weekdays,” he said in an interview with GMANetwork.com.

Sunday PinaSaya hosts Wally Bayola, Alden Richards, Barbie Forteza, Joey Paras, Valeen Montenegro together with the talents and staff were able to snap a photo with their award during their rehearsals yesterday (February 4).
