'Dessert' singer Dawin's reason for wanting to guest on 'Eat Bulaga'

American singer and the voice behind the hit 2015 dance single 'Dessert' Dawin dropped by on Sikat sa Barangay this Tuesday morning (March 1).

Dawin had a one-on-one interview with Barangay Bae Papa Dan as they talked about his experience coming to the Philippines and his highly-anticipated guesting in Eat Bulaga yesterday.

During the interview, Papa Dan asked the American performer what was it like guesting in the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines that has been instrumental to the success of his dance single.

Dawin said, "Super fun experience. Even I was always, you know, preparing for that, because I wanted to show up because I would always get messages and tweets that people are saying, "I hope Dawin can come to Eat Bulaga,"  and I say "that would be a good idea"."

Dawin stressed that he wanted to return the love he received from Eat Bulaga for heavily promoting his 'Dessert' single and he was thrilled to finally have a showdown with Wally Bayola a.k.a Lola Nidora.

"You know, [I] just [want to] show up and return the love that I've received. So, after that, after the performance, I did a showdown with Lola [Nidora] that was fun."

In addition, he talked about his experience meeting the AlDub power couple Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.

"I've met Alden [Richards] in person, I saw Maine through TV, so I was live in the Studio and she was like via satellite."

He also greeted Maine who is about to celebrate her birthday soon and lauded the Eat Bulaga star for her dancing skills.

"I just want to wish her a happy birthday, cause it's coming up soon it's on the fifth. So we got to speak, and at least you know get to know each other. I've seen videos of her dancing also, yeah she got moves."
