Andrea Torres and Mikael Daez find lasting friendship in each other

After working on several successful projects together, Kapuso stars Andrea Torres and Mikael Daez have developed a tightly knit relationship.

Andrea noted how working on Fight for Love, a mini TV series co-produced by GMA Network and Cambodia Television Network, brought them even closer.

“Magkakilalang magkakilala na talaga kami. Sobra. Kahit off cam, isa siya sa mga nasasabihan ko ng mga secrets ko na talagang malulupit,” she said.

She attributes much of her growth as an actress and as an individual to Mikael.

“Nakakatuwa talaga minsan, kapag kino-compare namin 'yung three years ago [when we were starting out], ang layo sa meron kami ngayon. [Ang layo na ng narating ng friendship namin],” she added.

Mikael, in a separate interview, reaffirmed their closeness, saying that they’ve experienced a lot of ups and downs in showbiz together.

“I’ve always been very open to her. We’ve been through a lot together, and we share certain values that really allow us to bond [such as] working hard, the importance of work, how we view our work,” he shared.

He deeply admires Andrea’s work ethic and is glad to have someone like her in the business who understands and espouses his ideals.

“[We both recognize the importance of] valuing what we have and I think that really allowed us to relate to each other and then eventually, we got to know each other and then we became good friends,” he declared.
