'Mr. and Miss Chinatown Philippines' finds new home in GMA Network

Chinese-Filipino pageant Mr. and Miss Chinatown Philippines chose GMA Network to be its broadcast partner for its 2016 coronation night. Fil-Chi Media Productions Inc. in cooperation with the Miss Chinatown Foundation inked the contract last Friday, April 22 at the GMA Network Center.

The pageant, to be held in July, will be hosted by Chris Tiu and directed by Paolo Valenciano.

Aimed towards promoting and unifying the Filipino-Chinese community, the foundation organizes events, spearheads and supports activities promoting education, health and wellness, and fosters the richness of the Chinese culture and language.

The pageant’s ultimate objective is to share and cultivate both the traditional and modern values of Chinese-Filipino men and women amidst changing times.

To join Mr. and Miss Chinatown Philippines, the following are the qualifications:

· 18-25 years old,
· Can speak Mandarin or Fookien
· Has a pleasing personality with good moral character
· Represents the modern Chinese-Filipino man/woman
