Martin del Rosario opens new bar in Quezon City

Last Friday (May 20), Martin del Rosario's new business venture called "Bunker at the Armory" had its grand launch. While there, the Kapuso actor invited a few bloggers for a short blogcon to know a little bit more about Martin's bar.

According to Martin, this was not his first time opening a business. The Kapuso actor revealed that he used to have an online store before. He also added that he and his business partners opened their bar so that they could have a place to mingle with friends.

"Hindi naman ako party boy and hindi din naman ako masayado mahilig uminom; mahilig lang akong makipag-mingle sa friends na business partners ko din. Mahilig kaming lumabas so [ang] concept nito (Bunker at the Armory), parang pinaghalo-halong gusto namin sa mga bars na pinupuntahan namin," Martin said.

Aside from being a business partner, he also handles marketing and promotions for the bar. On some days, lucky customers might even catch Martin mixing drinks himself.

"Ang hina-handle ko [is] marketing, promotions, operations, tsaka nag-attend ako ng two-week training kung papaano mag-mix ng drinks. Kung may mga days na wala akong taping or wala akong school, ako 'yung magtitimpla-timpla dito."

Despite his very busy lifestyle, Martin assured that he has his priorities straight. According to Martin, "Siyempre, priority ko is school, showbiz, and taping. Basta, gusto ko maging equal 'yung [time]. Actually parang ang hirap isipin na pwede pero ang gusto ko is I do best sa lahat ng fields na pinapasok ko. Kahit pagod, hands on pa din dito."

Martin describes his bar as a rustic space with affordable drinks to hang out with old friends and make new ones.
