EXCLUSIVE: Megan Young, excited to do comedy for the first time in 'Conan, My Beautician'
We're definitely looking forward to watching Megan Young's new project with GMA. In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Megan shared a bit of her character's background in Conan, My Beautician.
According to Megan, "I'm playing Ava and her story is that she's a Manila girl and she's about to marry this guy. Then she meets Conan and he was the beautician that did the makeup during the wedding. For some reason she becomes a runaway bride and she eventually bumps into Conan again and that's where she asked for his help."
In her illustrious 12-year career in showbiz, Megan admitted that she has yet to show her comedic side.
"I don't think I remember doing a comedy [show] ever in my whole career so that's a big thing for me. I've done drama, I've done 'yung mga kilig-kilig but never comedy. It's exciting, it's fun, and I'm looking very much forward to it," Megan said.
While leading man Mark Herras is still adjusting in playing such a sensitive character in Conan, Megan on the other hand is ready to take on her role as Ava. "Ako kasi, I have a lot of gay friends so it's easy for me to get along with them. I have no inhibitions so there won't be a problem with me playing this role."

But even though Mark is new to his role, Megan has nothing but praise for the work ethic of her co-star.
"Oh he's (Mark Herras) very easy to work with. He is not difficult at all, he's a very professional person. I know people always say this but he's always on set when needed. He's easy to talk to and I think that's very important when your co-actor is very at ease with themselves and with the people around them. It's easy for me to jump into the scene because I don't feel conscious and he doesn't make me feel conscious," Megan said.
