Jaclyn Jose and AlDub genius Jenny Ferre bag Global Pinoy Award

Veteran actress Jaclyn Jose and Eat Bulaga’s creative head Jenny Ferre are among the recipients of the 2016 Global Pinoy Award, given by Mega Magazine during the 7th Pinoy Pride Ball, its Independence Day celebration.
 
Jaclyn Jose, who appears in the Kapuso network through The Millionaire’s Wife and A1 Ko Sa’yo, brought pride to the Philippines when she bagged the Cannes Film Festival 2016 Best Actress Award for Brillante Mendoza’s Ma’ Rosa


Jenny Ferre, meanwhile, was instrumental to the phenomenon known as AlDub and has helped redefine the television and advertising industries. Through her genius, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza are two of the biggest stars today, and the noontime show Eat Bulaga is recognized in different parts of the world. 


The award celebrates Filipino change makers who give pride to the country and who make a difference in the lives of people around them. Other recipients include Rachelle Ann Go, Pia Wurtzbach, 4th Impact, El Gamma Panumbra, Charice, Ann Ong, Aisa Mijeno, Lav Diaz, Ezra Santos, Glen llamas of Wilbros Live, Ito Kish, Henry Motte-Muñoz, Margarita Fores, and Jollibee.
