Timothy Tan, husband of Sunshine Dizon, has finally broken his silence about the Kapuso actress’s accusation on him having an extramarital affair.
Timothy has confirmed that his six years of marriage with Sunshine has come to an end.
His official statement that was sent last night, June 19, and aired on 24 Oras read, “Since the start of the year, our marriage has underwent numerous challenges and as with any relationship, we have truly tried our best to resolve certain issues.”
“However, we have both concluded that an annulment is warranted. I wish to express that in spite of the said circumstances, I will never disregard my obligations as a father,” he continued.
Timothy also included an apology and a request for privacy.
He said, “I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to the people and their families who were involved, directly or indirectly, as a result of our marital problems. I would also like to request for privacy as we both go through this challenging time in our lives. Thank you very much."

Sunshine, however, has stated that she will not settle for an annulment and will rather pursue charges in court. 24 Oras has also tried contacting the actress, but her manager has announced that Sunshine will only speak about the issue after consulting her legal counsels.
