Benjamin Alves on Lovi Poe: 'That's my girl'

Asked to describe his relationship with Lovi Poe, Benjamin Alves was quick to respond: “That’s my girl. I love that girl… Lovi’s my girl.”

He clarifies, however, that their closeness is not at all romantic.

“The thing is, we’re so close [that men in her life would] never feel as if there’s something else there ‘cause it’s really love in the most platonic way,” he said.

Their relationship has gone past work and he’s happy to have found a great friend in the Kapuso leading lady.

“Mahal na mahal ko 'yung tao na ‘yun. We’re really close. We talk pretty much every day,” he added.

Benjamin is always ecstatic at possibilities of working with Lovi and only has good words to say about her.

“[She’s a] beautiful lady inside and out. I’m glad she’s here (GMA) and I’m glad I’m able to work with her again,” he declared.

After teaming up in the 2013 film Sana Dati and in GMA Telebabad soap Beautiful Strangers, he hopes to continue having projects with her.

“Sana we can do a movie like 500 Days of Summer. We really wanna do a movie together again and the last time we threw it out there na we [want to] do a soap, it happened. So hopefully, [because we’re] throwing this out there in the Universe, it gets answered,” he concluded.
