EXCLUSIVE: Tom Rodriguez wants the youth to be aware of Alzheimer's Disease

In an exclusive interview with GMAnetwork.com during Someone to Watch Over Me's pictorial, the actor talked about his new show which revolves around his character, TJ, who happens to be suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.

He said,"I'm very happy and glad that GMA is tackling such a sensitive and brave material such as this. That not only does it serve to entertain, na mapasaya natin ang mga manonood, at antigin namin 'yung mga puso nila, na hopefully ay isa ring drama na maka-relate sila, pero bukod doon gugustuhin ko rin na maging aware sila at malaman nila na may ganitong sakit na nangyayari."

The actor explained further, "Dahil hindi lang pala sakit pangmatanda ang Alzheimer's, kaya dapat mas lalo pa ang mga kabataan ngayon, na maging involved sila at aware dahil hindi lang ito nangyayari sa mga lolo at lola nila. Malamang pati sa kanila na rin mismo mangyari. It's definitely a timely thing, napapanahon na mapag-usapan 'yung ganitong material."
