#ThrowbackThursday: Jaya posts old photo of 'SOP' singers

By AL KENDRICK NOGUERA

In 1997, GMA offered SOP to Kapuso viewers and the noontime musical variety show which aired every Sunday lasted 13 years. Replaced by Party Pilipinas in 2010, the show has produced stellar singers who are dominating the music industry today.

Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez, singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, Queen of Soul Jaya, King of Soul Janno Gibbs, and Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha were the main performers of SOP.

Jaya reminisced about the friendship they developed during their SOP days by posting a throwback photo of their group with a very touching message for all.

"Made some awesome, loving, and super talented friends in SOP. I miss singing and goofing around with them and I am so blessed and honored to have shared the stage with them. I have only much love and respect for these guys and gals and I am soooo wishing that we can one day get together and just talk about the good old days and maybe even sing together," shared Jaya.

Janno commented on the post. "Awww miss these days too," said the King of Soul.

Meanwhile, Lani proposed a get together activity for the group. She said, "I miss performing with you guys. How about a reunion concert?"
