Your Saturdays will become more fun and exciting as two entertaining shows premiere on September 3. In the comedy singing contest Superstar Duets, Pinoy comedians will be paired with... international superstars? The Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado will host the show with Allan K, Christian Bautista, and Aicelle Santos as judges.
Meanwhile, Kapuso leading man Tom Rodriguez returns to hosting with internet child sensation Balang in #LIKE. The program will feature the stars of the most watched and most liked viral videos in this one-of-a-kind talent competition.
GMA Telebabad is also proud of its latest additions, Someone To Watch Over Me and Alyas Robin Hood.
Someone To Watch Over Me is a heart-wrenching drama about a wife’s unwavering love for her husband who is suffering from early onset Alzheimer's disease. Tom Rodriguez plays the role of TJ Chavez, a playful and outgoing guy diagnosed with the rare disorder. Lovi Poe takes on the role of his compassionate wife Joanna, who will do everything for her sick husband. Max Collins completes this intricate love triangle as Irene Montenegro, TJ's ex-girlfriend. She tries to stay away from TJ but he keeps seeking her as he no longer recognizes Joanna as his wife. Catch the intriguing story of love’s presence in the absence of memories beginning September 5.
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes will wow the audience once again as he breathes life to the title role of Alyas Robin Hood. Before he assumes his alter ego, he is known as Pepe, a security personnel and bodyguard wrongfully convicted of murdering his father. As Pepe is being transferred to prison, he will meet an accident and will be presumed dead. Pepe then takes on a new identity to clear his name and find out who is behind his father's murder. Joining Dingdong as his leading ladies in this series are Miss World Megan Young and Andrea Torres. Alyas Robin Hood premieres September 19.
New Kapuso and showbiz royalty Inah de Belen will star in Oh, My Mama!, her first GMA teleserye. A TV adaptation of the popular '80s film, Oh, My Mama! is the riveting story of a teenager pushed by circumstances to become a mother to five children. Inah plays the role of Maricel, a 16-year old brought up by a single gay dad who will soon discover that a certain Robert Reyes is her real father. She finds him in a crime syndicate that forces children to work in sweatshops. Unable to take it, she escapes with some of the children. She cares for the children as her own while trying to reconnect them with their real families. With Inah are the Network's most promising leading men, Jake Vargas and Jeric Gonzales. Oh, My Mama! will begin on September 19 on the GMA Afternoon Prime block.
Also premiering next month is URL: Usapang Real Love. The first interactive rom-com on Philippine TV is an anthology that combines the power of social media and kilig of romantic comedies. It will feature four love stories, starring the Network's most popular love teams and will give netizens the chance to be seen on TV when they submit their own videos on social media. Catch its first episode on September 25.
