Bicolana Catriona Gray bags Miss World Philippines 2016 crown

Twenty-two year old Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray from Albay, Bicol was named Miss World Philippines 2016 in the coronation night held at the Manila Hotel last October 2.

 

She also bagged several special awards namely Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Best in Fashion Runway, and Best in Talent. She was also a favorite among sponsors as she was named Miss Manila Hotel, Miss Hannah, Miss Organique, Miss Figlia, Miss Folded & Hung and Ms. Fig Image Gateway.


The runner ups were First Princess Arienne Louise Calingo, Second Princess Ivanna Kamil Pacis, Third Princess Marah Muñoz and Fourth Princess Sandra Lemonon.

 
Pageant hosts were actor Richard Gutierrez, Miss World 2011 First Princess Gwendoline Ruais, and Miss World Philippines 2012 Queneerich Rehman. They were joined by anchor hosts Miss World Philippines 2014 Fourth Princess Rachel Peters and showbiz personality Lauren Reid.
 
Judges were management professional and HR specialist Ruby Pacis, corporate communicator Rod Cornejo, medical practitioner specializing in cosmetic surgery and anti-aging medicine Nap Toledo, supermodel, endorser and health-fitness advocate Tweetie de Leon-Gonzales, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. President and CEO Fe Agudo, GMA Network Vice President for Program Management Jose Mari Abacan, Pretty Looks Aesthetic Center President and CEO Susan Co-Ong, politician and philanthropist Tingting Cojuangco, Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to the Philippines His Excellency Rolando Anibal Guevarra Alvarado, President Rodrigo Duterte’s Chief Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, and Secretary of the Dept. of Tourism Wanda Teo.
 
Catriona will compete in Miss World 2016 to be held this December in Washington, USA.
