Kapuso stars and programs win big at PMPC Star Awards for Music, TV

Several Kapuso personalities and programs bagged prestigious recognitions from the PMPC Star Awards for Music and TV.
 
Alden Richards bagged two awards for his musical achievements this year, and Biyahe Ni Drew and its host Drew Arellano both won awards.
 
Thirteen individuals, one group, and eight programs from GMA Network and GMA News TV were proclaimed winners.
 
The winners are:
 
Alden Richards (Wish I May, GMA Records) – Pop Album of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Male Pop Artist 
Derrick Monasterio (GMA Records) – New Male Recording Artist
Aiza Seguerra – Acoustic Artist of the Year
T.O.P. (Top One Project) – Best Duo/Group of the Year
 
Unang Hirit – Best Morning Show
24 Oras – Best News Program
Wowowin – Best Game Show
Sunday PinaSaya – Best Variety Show
StarStruck Season 6 – Best Talent Search Program
Pepito Manaloto – Best Comedy Show
Biyahe Ni Drew – Best Travel Show
Reel Time – Best Documentary Program
 
Manilyn Reynes (Pepito Manaloto) – Best Comedy Actress
Jennylyn Mercado (My Faithful Husband) – Best Drama Actress
Jose Manalo (Hay, Bahay!) – Best Actor in Comedy
Jake Ejercito  (Eat Bulaga's "God Gave Me You") – Best New Male TV Personality
Sunshine Dizon (Little Nanay) – Best Supporting Actress (Little Nanay)
Kristoffer Martin (Magpakailanman - Mag-ama Sa Bilangguan) – Best Single Performance by an Actor 

Vicky Morales (24 Oras) – Best Female Newscaster
Malou Mangahas (Investigative Documentaries) – Best Documentary Host 
Ricky Reyes (Gandang Ricky Reyes) – Best Lifestyle Show Host
Drew Arellano (Biyahe ni Drew) – Best Travel Show Host
 
The awards night was held at Novotel Manila, Araneta Center yesterday, October 23.
