Fil-Am child actor Deric Payton McCabe lands major role in a Disney movie

Deric Payton Cabe is extremely excited to be part of Disney’s upcoming film, A Wrinkle in Time. The actor will portray the role of Charles Wallace. Charles is described as: “A mixed race lead character.”

He is also said to be working alongside big Hollywood actors such as Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Michael Peña, André Holland, and Storm Reid.

 
The young actor was even seen to be literally jumping (and dancing) for joy when Director Ava DuVernay called to give him the part.

Deric was said to have worked extremely hard for the role. His mother wrote on Deric’s Instagram account: “Amongst the many headlines surrounding this film,.. 17 page, 5 page, 3 page, 21 page scripts to learn overnight...while continuing to spend time with family, do his regular chores, and excel in school. He prayed, remained patient, and was persistent. Thankful and Blessed.”
