Nar Cabico finds dream workplace in GMA Network
For his Playlist performances, Nar Cabico got to meet the music production team of GMA Network. It was an unforgettable experience for him because he found like-minded people who are passionate about his chosen craft.
“I’m very happy to have met GMA’s staff na musicians. Parang for me, it’s the dream workplace to be in an office tapos may mga gitara, may mga piano. Tapos parang ‘Ano guys? Coffee ba tayo or jamming?’ Parang ganun,” he quipped.
He’s deeply interested in the work that they do and considered himself blessed to have met them.
“Nainggit ako sa kanila, sa mga puwede nilang gawin and I’m very happy [to have been around them],” he added.
Nar performed two songs in the online music platform and enjoyed sharing his heart and voice to the Kapuso audiences.
“Thank you nga ‘ko ng thank you sa kanila because they learned my original song and at the same time, [we performed] 'yung song from Conan the Beautician. So I’m just overall pleased and flattered and just happy. It’s a great way to start the year,” he said.
He described the Playlist as a great breather for celebrities.
“I’ve seen a lot actually – kay Julie Anne, sa TOP, kay Rocco Nacino, kay Kai Atienza, [among others]. Sabi ko [nga], maganda siyang venue for artists ng GMA, [more than just to] showcase [but] to really just have fun and you know, put online [musical content] for the fans and followers,” he noted.
As someone who has sang, played and composed most of his life, he finds solace in the art and is glad to share it with others.
“Musicians are very therapeutic… Sabi nga nung isa kong mentor, ‘Pagkakitaan mo 'yang pain mo.’ So puwede mo siya i-channel into something na puwede rin makatulong sa iba… [Music] is always just for the good [at] walang ill intention… It’s really for the world to be healed and to be entertained and to just be transcended into a state para hindi ka masyadong mahirapan in life,” he concluded.
