'Oh My Venus' actress Shin Min Ah responds to news of boyfriend Kim Woo Bin's bout with cancer 

Korean actor Kim Woo Bin was recently diagnosed with cancer. According to his agency SidusHQ, "Everyone is currently expressing their concern regarding Kim Woo Bin’s condition. We are giving this statement to address those concerns. Kim Woo Bin has been extremely busy with his schedules as of late and during this period, he felt his body’s condition wasn’t good so he went to the hospital. At the hospital, he was diagnosed with Nasopharynx cancer. Luckily, it is not too late to start treatment so we want to let fans know that he is currently undergoing treatment. He will come back when he is completely healthy again so we wish everyone will wish him the best during these times."

Nasopharyngeal cancer, as described by Web MD, is a rare type of head and neck cancer. It starts in the upper part of the throat, behind the nose called the nasopharynx. This type of cancer has been strongly linked to the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).

Shin Min Ah, Kim Woo Bin's girlfriend since 2015, recently released a statement and said, "I am currently helping Kim Woo Bin get better while he's under treatment."

Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin are also co-models for Giordano. Last year, Kim Woo Bin visited the Philippines to film scenes for his movie titled Master, an action crime thriller starring alongside veteran actors Lee Byung-hun and Kang Dong-won. While Shin Min Ah is often seen in Philippine TV via GMA's Heart of Asia. Her projects include Tale of Arang and Oh My Venus. She was last seen in the Kdrama Tomorrow With You.
