Maureen Wroblewitz, open to pursue acting after 'Asia's Next Top Model' victory

After winning the title in  the fifth season of Asia’s Next Top Model (AsNTM), Maureen Wroblewitz shared on 24 Oras that she is also willing to pursue a career in acting.

Maureen emerged victor among the 14 contestants from all over Asia who competed in the modelling reality show. She went head to head with Malaysia’s Shikin Gomez and Vietnam's Min Tu Nguyen in the finale challenge.

She admitted, “I wasn’t expecting. I was just hoping for it because I was still feeling a little intimidated by Tu and Shikin because they are like much taller, much more experienced. So I was like maybe it’s not my year.”

Maureen, however, didn’t let her insecurities get the best of her. Instead, she turned the negative feedbacks from bashers and fellow contestants as her motivation to reach her dream.

“Actually, I’ve been wanting to model for a long time so I’d always pose in front of the mirror. I would always check like photo shoots, like magazines and I would like copy their poses,” she said.

As AsNTM’s cycle five winner, Maureen won a brand new car and is set to appear on the cover of a fashion magazine in Singapore. She also has the chance to be listed under the famed international model agency in Europe, the Store Model Management.

While her journey as a top model has just begun, Maureen is also open to try her luck in showbiz.
She said, “I really wanna focus on my modelling career now, but if there’s a really good opportunity, I might pursue acting also because I also have a passion for acting.”
