Mandatory military service is a common practice in Korea where men between ages 18 to 35 must serve in the Korean military, normally around 21 to 24 months.

Korean singer-actors Choi Siwon from Super Junior and Changmin from TVXQ enlisted together back on November 19, 2015. The two were part of Seoul's Metropolitan Police Agency. Today, August 18, both Siwon and Changmin were discharged from their duties.

Siwon is also known for his role in GMA Heart of Asia's Pretty Woman as Jason.
