Mikoy Morales says he 'enjoys doing gay roles because it's a social challenge'

Nagkaroon ng special screening ang pelikulang '4 Days' sa UP Film Insitute last August 24 kung saan present ang main cast nito na sina Mikoy Morales at Sebastian Castro, naroon rin ang direkto nito na si Direk Adolf Alix Jr.

Bago magsimula ang film, nagpasalamat si Mikoy sa mga pumunta upang suportahan ang kanilang project.

Aniya, "We're really proud of this film, this project. Very personal 'to sa'min kasi inupuan namin ito nila Direk (Adolf Alix) all the way. Thank you for being here, this really means a lot. I wasn't really expecting this much people here tonight but I just really wanted my family, friends, and loved ones to be here pero andaming dumating na iba pa so thank you so much. I hope you guys enjoy."

Sa '4 Days,' binigyang buhay ni Mikoy ang karakter ni Mark, isang binata na mahuhulog ang loob sa kaniyang college roommate na si Derek na siya namang ginampanan ni Sebastian. "Actually, wala, even before I did this film, I was really open to doing this kind of [role]. The reason why I enjoy doing gay roles is because it's a social challenge. When people ask me if I'm really gay, it's tempting to not answer the question kasi doing roles like this, it's my way of telling society to stop labeling people and see them for what they do, who they are and not their sexual preference. That's really a big part sa'kin kung bakit ko nagustuhan 'yung project na 'to," wika ni Mikoy na siya namang pinalakpakan ng mga manonood.
