Kapuso leading man Rocco Nacino made his voice heard regarding the news that his former Encantadia co-star Kylie Padilla is being body-shamed by some netizens.

Rocco played the loyal soldier of Hara Amihan named Aquil in the high-rating telefantasya series.

In an Instagram post last week, Kylie expressed her disappointment over those people who made a big issue out of her post-pregnancy body.

She stressed that she doesn’t mind the negative comments about her weight because she feels confident and beautiful with all her stretch marks.

“I recently experienced some body shaming on my last post at the gym and I didn't really get my feelings hurt but I had this thought, people know i just gave birth right? Still, comments kept coming in about how fat I was. And guess what yes, I am fat. I am overweight. Whatever these things people tell me that is supposed to make me feel guilty or bad. Fine, but the thing is I have never felt so confident, so happy and so in love with my body. Stretch marks and all.”

Meanwhile, Rocco took to Twitter to defend his good friend and asked everyone to give Kylie a break.

“Cmon people, nanganak ung tao eh. Syempre a few pounds would be normal. Sus @kylienicolep you look beautiful and blooming!!!”
